Montauk Tackle designs are combined with our signature performance Smart Fabrics. All of our performance apparel incorporates Montauk's sustainable recycled yarns that are infused with UPF 50+ sun protection, moisture wicking, antimicrobial and stain resistant properties, keeping you and our environment protected. Infusing our technology at the yarn level protects our water ways from nano-technologies washing off into them or from having them absorbed into your skin. Milled in the U.S.A.
50+ UPF Sun Protection for you and our environment.
Montauks powerful sunblock doesn't wear out or wash off because it's inherent in the actual fiber, not applied/spayed on the fabric after it is milled. This extra step protects your skin from the sun protecting elements being absorbed into your body and protects our environment from the Sun Blocking technology washing off into our waterways. The State of Hawaii has signed the first bill in the country that will ban sunscreens containing chemicals harmful to coral reefs. The bill, which was passed by state lawmakers in May, will go into effect January 1, 2021.
Montauk’s breathable, moisture-wicking fibers let you go from the gym to your next stop without looking like you just exercised. Our fabrics wick up to three times faster than other fibers—so moisture moves away and evaporates quicker, keeping you cool and dry.
With Montauk fabrics – odors won’t set in because long-lasting anti-microbial protection is embedded into the fibers. Inherent technology helps to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria on fabrics. Less bacteria means less odor, more freshness and added comfort. This technology works by inhibiting the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
Montauk fibers manage soiled fabrics with our easy-to-clean performance fibers. Soil-release or antistatic properties embedded in our fiber will make it easier to keep our fabrics clean and you looking good.
